With one day left until roster is set, it's looking more and more like Conacher and Johnson will make the team.
no, ha Johnsonnak is sikerül, akkor valaki más esik ki
|
| |
|
|
|
|
ő szerintem 3. sor, ha Conacher fent marad
ez esetben kb így festünk
Malone - Stamkos - St. Louis
Conacher - Lecavalier - Purcell
Pouliot - Pyatt - Tyrell
Thompson -Hall/Wilson - Crombeen
Hedman - Salo
Brewer - Carle
Aulie - Lee
Bergeron - Mikkelson
Lindback
Garon
kérdés, hogy 12 támadó - 6 védőt játszunk, vagy 11-7et
előbbi esetében szerintem Wilson, Aulie és Mikkelson pihennek, utóbbinál viszont Hall, Wilson és Aulie

Guy Boucher said team that practices on Friday will be team that opens season on Saturday
szerintem Conacher marad fent, méghozzá a második sorban Lecav és Purcell oldalán
mekkora steal lesz ez nekem a fantasyban
az első meg egyelőre Lajos, Stammer, Malone

That means an ability to be more aggressive in the offensive zone when opponents try to set up breakouts because of confidence the defense will react appropriately. Tampa Bay on Tuesday sent in a deep forechecker with another slightly back to force puck carriers to a side wall. A third patrolled near the blue line and read the play.
On the back end, one defenseman stepped up at the red line to challenge puck carries. The other chased down the hoped-for dump-ins.
Much different from the 1-3-1 system used last season, when the Lightning, with a much slower back line, many times waited for teams to come to it. Against the Flyers in November, that led to the teams basically staring at each other with Philadelphia at times refusing to move the puck out of its zone.
"Nothing drastic," Brewer said of the new system. "You're just always trying to pressure when you have numbers and be more aware when you don't. For us, it's just clarifying the areas you can be more aggressive."

"I expect a lot out of myself every year," [Martin St. Louis] said. "And if you start giving yourself excuses, you're just speeding up the process of fading away."
"Everyone kind of feels a little bit older every year," wing Teddy Purcell said. "But I think he's going the opposite way. He just gets younger."
"He's a machine — he's that little ball of fire," captain Vinny Lecavalier said. "You'd think he's 22."
"You don't realize how hard you have to work until you watch a guy like Marty," teammate Steven Stamkos said. "That's why he's been so successful, there's a correlation there." (...) I'm trying to keep him young, and he's trying to keep (me) wise," Stamkos said. "It's been a great ride so far, hopefully it's only the beginning and we have a lot of great years ahead of us."
"This guy has been unbelievable for the organization and the people around him," Boucher said. "I don't know when or how it's going to be recognized, but in my book right now, he's already won."
But St. Louis hasn't dwelled on the opportunities missed in the 116 games lost to lockouts. "Maybe I'll just play an extra year," he said with a smile.

From PC Labrie about message from Syracuse coaches: "They tell me you play better when you smile, so just go out and smile and be a menace."
Syr D Gudas aware Lightning blue line is set. "We just want to make a good impression on the coaches so they know we can play at this level"

Cory Conacher after he played Monday on a line with his idol, Vinny Lecavalier: "It's very exciting. I'm short of breath it's so exciting"
Lightning coach Guy Boucher on Conacher: "He's got speed. He did a good job. He pushed the pace with them. That's what I'm looking for."
“It’s a dream to be here,” Conacher said. “There are so many guys in Syracuse right now who could have been in my spot, so I’m just trying to represent the [Crunch] organization well and show the management here in Tampa Bay that I’m willing to take that next step.”
Conacher:
"It's important for me to just save the same mentality I still have to make the team. It's something that I'm going to have to beat a lot of guys out to do that. There's only a couple forwards up from Syracuse but there could have been a lot more. If we don't represent them well they could easily pick guys out of from Syracuse like I said. I got the chance to play with Lecavalier and Purcell both yesterday and today and I just have to prove to the coaching staff that I can fit a role on their line and get the lose pucks for them and go hard to the net and make plays happen for those guys. You never know. It's all about keeping the coaches happy and doing the little things that they want you to do and developing as a player as well. With my size, it's all about working hard. You see a guy like St. Louis and he didn't get here by just showing up. He's a guy who works hard everyday and he spent those years in the east coast or in the AHL or wherever he did and he worked hard to get where he is now and a lot of people like to say I'm just like him but I have a ways to go to even be in the same boat as him. He's done amazing things and the reason why I've lived the dream a little bit and got to where I am now. Just from seeing his work ethic makes me work even harder now. It shows it doesn't matter how big or small you are, it's just the way you work and ow you are as a player and even a guy off the ice. Coaches look at that stuff and it's important to be a good teammate and that's important."
Boucher:
"Right now every player that's in this camp is getting a real look. We're not trying to fill jerseys, we're really looking at what every player can do. There's holes that we want to plug definitely. It's going to be a fight."
